GAFI CEO Inspects the Development and Enhancement of Efficiency of Port Said Public Free Zone

Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), inspected Port Said Public Free Zone, to follow up the development of the zone, and to enhance the efficiency of its infrastructure, which includes roads and sanitation networks, within the framework of the GAFI's plan to develop the work system in the free zones and raise their efficiency.
Moreover, Abdel Wahab followed up the regularity of the workflow at the Investor Service Center (ISC) in Port Said, to check on the quality of services provided to investors in ISC and to listen to the opinions of its Clients.
Abdel Wahab pointed out to GAFI's keenness on continuing the efforts it started to develop the infrastructure of the free zones in accordance with the latest standards used in the administration of free zones, and to ensure the efficient provision of services in them, as well as the establishment of an integrated system to automate the procedures within the zones, which helps to provide job opportunities, increase productivity and export abroad.
In addition, GAFI CEO stressed the importance of completing the development of free zone in accordance with the specified timelines, which are expected to be completed by the end of next February, noting that GAFI has been keen to facilitate all the services provided to investors in order to maintain the production rates during the process of development.
Furthermore, GAFI CEO met with Major General, Adel El Ghadban, Governor of Port Said, to discuss aspects of support with the governorate to develop the free zone, and they discussed promoting the important investment opportunities that distinguish Port Said governorate.​
