GAFI and the World Bank Collaborate in a Workshop to Shape Egypt's 2025-2030 Foreign Direct Investment Strategy

The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) organized a comprehensive workshop to discuss the Strategic Directions Document, serving as a roadmap for the development of the Foreign Direct Investment Strategy 2025-2030.
This workshop aligns with the decrees of the Supreme Council of Investment (SCI) and aims to leverage the expertise of the World Bank Group to create a participatory vision and a clear roadmap for FDI in Egypt. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the investment climate and identify priority sectors for investment that support sustainable development.
Dr. Dalia El-Hawary, GAFI Deputy CEO, stated: “Now is the ideal time to develop this strategy, as significant international changes necessitate a systematic and effective approach. We will establish a clear framework that involves all stakeholders, both sectoral and non-sectoral, to collaboratively create a unified plan that ensures the achievement of economic sustainable development goals.”
She added: “What sets this strategy apart is our commitment to a rigorous scientific approach in identifying priority sectors through data and analysis. Our goal is to maximize FDI benefits in alignment with national priorities, allowing us to use resources more efficiently and boost our competitiveness on the global stage.”
El-Hawary concluded: “We are eager to turn this vision into a tangible reality that will enhance Egypt's investment environment and contribute to achieving the Nation's development goals.”
