PM meets UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and his accompanying delegation Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting today with the sisterly United Arab Emirates'
delegation, which included Dr. Sultan Al-Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Mr. Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority; Mr. Mohamed Al Ramahi,
CEO of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company "Masdar"; and Mr. Khaled Salmeen, Executive Director atADNOC.
Furthermore, the meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Eng. Randa El- Minshawy, First Assistant to the Prime Minister; and Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab, GAFI CEO.
During the meeting, Al-Jaber indicated to the Prime Minister the outcome of the deliberations took place during the last period, on the cooperation projects planned to be implemented, whether in a bilateral framework between Egypt and UAE, or within the framework of the “Integrative Industrial Partnership forSustainable Economic Development” Initiative between Egypt, UAE and Jordan.
In this context, Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, indicated that the agreement particulars on the establishment of an electric power generation project from wind stations with
a capacity of 10 gigawatts have been completed, and the agreement will be signed after the Eid Al-Adha holiday.
UAE Minister of Industry also indicated that with regard to the “Integrative Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development” Initiative, the next meeting of the Initiative's higher committee is scheduled to be held this month in Cairo, to follow up on the projects that have been agreed upon.
On the other hand, aspects of the proposed cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the UAE side on erecting communication towers, and others, were discussed during the meeting
