Upon Conclusion of Egyptian-Algerian Joint Higher Committee in Algeria: Egyptian and Algerian PMs witness the signing ceremony of a number of accords in several fields serving bilateral cooperation between both countries

Egyptian and Algerian Prime Ministers witness the signing ceremony of a number of accords in several fields that serve bilateral cooperation between both countries.
At the conclusion of presiding the Egyptian-Algerian Joint Higher Committee, Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly and his Algerian counterpart, Prime Minister Ayman Ben Abdelrahman, witnessed at the Government Palace the signing ceremony of a number of accords that serve bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The official spokesman for the Council of Ministers Ambassador Nader Saad stated that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of water resources and irrigation was inked by Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, on the Egyptian side, and Minister of Water Resources and Water Security Mr. Karim Hosni, on the Algerian side. An executive program for cooperation in the field of environment and sustainable development was also inked by Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, on the Egyptian side, and Minister of Environment Ms. Samia Moualfi, on the Algerian side.
The official spokesman explained that the accords encompassed the inking of an MoU between the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and the Commission for the Organization and Oversight of the Stock Market (Commission d’Organisation et de Surveillance des Opérations de Bourse, COSOB) in Algeria. It was inked by Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, on the Egyptian side and from the Algerian side by Minister of Industry Dr. Ahmed Zghdar.
The accords signed by the Egyptian and Algerian sides encompassed an executive program for cooperation in the field of religious affairs, and it was inked by Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, on the Egyptian side, and on the Algerian side by Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments Mr. Youssef Belmahdi. In addition to signing an executive program between the Arab Republic of Egypt and The Arab League and the Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in the field of employment and manpower for the years 2022 – 2024. The program was signed by Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, on the Egyptian side, and Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security by Mr. Youssef Cherfa, on the Algerian side.
In the field of higher education, Ambassador Nader Saad mentioned that the draft executive program for cooperation in the field of higher education for the years 2022 – 2024 was signed between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria. The draft program was signed on the Egyptian side by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, and on the Algerian side, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mr. Abdelbaki Benziane.
An MoU in the field of industrial cooperation was also signed between Ministry of Trade and Industry of Egypt and the Ministry of Industry of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. It was signed by Mrs. Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, from the Egyptian side, and Dr. Ahmed Zeghdar, Minister of Industry, from the Algerian side.
Mrs. Nevin Jameh also signed an MoU in the field of export development between Export Development Authority in Egypt and Agence Nationale de Promotion du Commerce Exterieur “ALGEX” in Algeria. It was signed by Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Kamal Rezik from the Algerian side.
Mrs. Nevin Jameh also signed an MoU on cooperation between the Medium Small and Micro Enterprises Development Agency “MSMEDA” and the Ministry Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of small enterprises of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. It was signed by Mr. Nassim Diafat, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of micro business enterprise, from the Algerian side.
The cooperation accords also included signing of an MoU on cooperation between GAFI and The National Agency of Investment Development “ANDI” of Algeria. It was signed by Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab, GAFI CEO, from the Egyptian side and Mr. Mustafa Zikara, Director General of ANDI, from the Algerian side.
In addition, the official spokesman indicated that an MoU on cooperation was signed between L'Institut Diplomatique et des Relations Internationales “IDRI” in Algeria and the Egyptian Institute for Diplomatic Studies. It was signed by Ambassador/ Alaa Moussa, Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, from the Egyptian side and Ambassador/ Saleh Attia, Acting Director of IDRI, from the Algerian side.
At the end of the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Prime Minister Ayman bin Abdel Rahman signed the minutes of the meetings of the 8th round of the Egyptian-Algerian Joint Higher Committee.
