Engineer Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade:
The appointment of Engineer Mohamed El-Gossaki as Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) comes as part of completing the reform and development framework.
Engineer Hassan El-Khatib extends his thanks to Mr. Hossam Heiba for his tenure as Head of GAFI and for the efforts he exerted during his period of service.
Eng. Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, confirmed that the decree issued by the Prime Minister to appoint Eng. Mohamed El-Gossaki as Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, succeeding Mr. Hossam Heiba, comes within the context of completing the reform and development framework and the ongoing efforts to improve the investment climate.
The Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade emphasized that Eng. Mohamed El-Gossaki is among the leaders recognized for their competence and experience, stressing the importance of collective effort to continue the journey of success, achieve the Egyptian state’s vision of attracting foreign investments, improving the business environment, and providing the best services to investors in a manner that serves the national economy.
Eng. Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, also expressed his appreciation and thanks to Mr. Hossam Heiba, the former GAFI CEO, for the efforts he made during his tenure, and for his sincere work in developing the GAFI's operational system, as well as taking all necessary measures to improve the investment climate and remove obstacles facing investment.
The Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade affirmed that during Mr. Hossam Heiba’s term, GAFI witnessed a tangible leap in developing the business environment, providing innovative solutions for investors, and strengthening Egypt’s position as a leading investment destination in the region.
