Board of Directors of Ras El Hekma Investment Zone Reviews Progress of Development and Infrastructure Works

Dr. Mohamed Awad:

Dr. Mohamed Awad, GAFI CEO, chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of Ras El Hekma Investment Zone, in the presence of BoD members H.E. Kamal Ishaq Abdullah Ismail Al Mazmi and Mr. Samer Hanna Khalifa. Also participating via videoconference were H.E. Abdullah Al Sahi, Eng. Ibrahim El Maghraby, and representatives of the relevant authorities. The meeting was held as part of the periodic follow-up of the Zone's development plans and in implementation of the directives of Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, to monitor strategic investment projects and strengthen coordination among the relevant entities to accelerate implementation.
The meeting reviewed the progress of development and infrastructure works within the Investment Zone, as well as the latest developments in coordination among the relevant authorities, with the aim of accelerating implementation, enhancing the Zone's readiness to receive investments, and advancing an integrated and sustainable development vision.
Dr. Mohamed Awad affirmed that GAFI attaches great importance to monitoring investment zone projects and providing the institutional support necessary for their successful implementation. This is achieved by strengthening coordination and integration among the relevant entities, facilitating procedures, and promoting practical solutions that contribute to accelerating project execution.
He added that Ras El Hekma Investment Zone represents one of Egypt's promising strategic projects, reflecting the state's vision of developing integrated investment and development communities built on advanced infrastructure and an attractive business environment. This is fully aligned with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade's strategy to enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy and attract value-added domestic and foreign investments.
For his part, H.E. Kamal Ishaq Abdullah Ismail Al Mazmi expressed his sincere appreciation to GAFI, under the leadership of Dr. Mohamed Awad, as well as to all the relevant authorities, for their continuous efforts and constructive cooperation in overcoming challenges, facilitating implementation, and providing an ideal and enabling business environment that supports the achievement of the project's objectives.
He also commended the strong spirit of cooperation and institutional coordination among all stakeholders, emphasizing that the level of support and follow-up provided to the project reflects the shared commitment to ensuring its success and maximizing its investment and developmental returns.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of maintaining close coordination and constructive cooperation among the Board members and all relevant authorities to support the completion of the development plans and contribute to achieving the Investment Zone's economic and investment objectives.
