Prime Minister flies to Tunis heading a ministerial delegation to participate in the 17th session of
the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee
Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, will leave Cairo International Airport this morning to Tunis,
heading a high-level ministerial delegation to participate in the 17th session of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint
Higher Committee. The meetings are held with the presence of senior officials, co-chaired by the Egyptian
Prime Minister and his Tunisian counterpart on May 12 and 13, 2022.
The delegation accompanying Dr. Mostafa Madbouly includes Dr. Tarek Shawky, Minister of Education
and Technical Education; Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific
Research and Acting Minister of Health; Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation; Dr.
Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Dr. Assem El Gazzar, Minister
of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities; Mr. El-Sayed El-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land
Reclamation; Counselor Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free
Zones; Dr. Mohammed Omran, Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority; and Minister
Plenipotentiary Yahya Al-Wathiq Bellah, Head of the Egyptian Commercial Service at the Ministry of
Commerce and Industry.
On the sidelines of the meetings of the Joint Higher Committee, the two-day visit will witness the signing
of several pacts in respect of fields that promote bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Tunisia.
Moreover, the Joint Economic Forum will be held to exchange viewpoints on investment opportunities
between the two countries.
