The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Receives a Delegation from Canada Egypt Business Council (CEBC) to Explore Investment Opportunities and Enhance Economic Cooperation Between the Two Countries:
GAFI hosted a delegation of Canadian business leaders who are members of CEBC to explore investment opportunities and strengthen economic cooperation between Egypt and Canada.
During the meeting, GAFI delivered a comprehensive presentation on Egypt’s investment climate, highlighting the competitive advantages of the Egyptian economy, the country’s strategic location, and priority investment sectors. GAFI also showcased the Investment Map, which includes a wide range of opportunities across various sectors.
The services provided by the Investment Services Center (ISC) were reviewed as well. These services offer streamlined procedures for company incorporation, licensing, and land allocation, in addition to providing all investor-related services through a unified digital platform.
The meeting also covered Egypt’s various investment frameworks, including Free Zones, Investment Zones, Technological Zones, and Special Economic Zones, along with the incentives and facilities available to foreign investors.
The Canadian delegation raised several questions regarding Egypt’s regulatory frameworks for investment, including the Golden License and company’s incorporation procedures.
The meeting concluded with an open discussion session between representatives of the business communities of both countries, followed by a field visit to the Investment Services Center (ISC). GAFI reaffirmed its full commitment to supporting Canadian investors and strengthening bilateral investment relations between the two countries.
