GAFI CEO Inspects Workflow at the Investors Services Center in Port Said

Integration between Investors Services Centers (ISCs) and E-Services
Dr. Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), conducted an inspection visit to the Investors Services Center (ISC) in Port Said to follow up on the workflow and review investors’ complaints and suggestions.
During his visit, Dr. Mohamed Awad emphasized that GAFI’s expansion in launching e-services and digital platforms over the recent period requires a corresponding enhancement in the performance of Investors Services Centers (ISCs). He noted that the centers’ staff play a key advisory role by guiding investors and introducing them to the new e-services launched by GAFI, in addition to their promotional role, which includes showcasing investment opportunities in the governorate and introducing investors to the various investment regimes that meet their diverse investment needs.
The Investors Services Center (ISC) in Port Said currently provides services to 2,185 companies.
GAFI CEO also met with a group of investors from Port Said Governorate and directed those complaints and suggestions be addressed more promptly, whether through the Investors Care Platform, which was recently launched by GAFI to receive investment-related complaints and suggestions, or through the staff of the Investors Services Centers (ISCs).
Dr. Mohamed Awad stressed the need for staff to adhere to the prescribed timeframes for completing all procedures related to companies, whether incorporation or post-incorporation services. He also stressed the importance of refraining from repeatedly requesting any document from investors or their authorized representatives, and of making full use of the integrated interconnection system, which brings together all entities concerned with investment, whose representatives are permanently stationed at the Investors Services Centers (ISCs).
Dr. Mohamed Awad underscored the importance of Port Said Governorate and its effective role in supporting the Egyptian economy. Accordingly, GAFI attaches particular importance to the governorate and has established a Public Free Zone and an Investors Services Center (ISC) there. GAFI has also signed a cooperation protocol with Port Said University to train and qualify university students and graduates to actively participate in Egypt’s investment ecosystem.
